Fingerprint scanning is the acquisition and recognition of a person’s fingerprint characteristics for identification purposes. This allows the recognition of a person through quantifiable physiological characteristics that verify the identity of an individual.

Among all the biometric techniques, fingerprint-based identification is the oldest method which has been successfully used in numerous applications. Everyone is known to have unique, immutable fingerprints. A fingerprint is made of a series of ridges and furrows on the surface of the finger. The uniqueness of a fingerprint can be determined by the pattern of ridges and furrows as well as the minutiae points. Minutiae points are local ridge characteristics that occur at either a ridge bifurcation or a ridge ending.

Fundamentally, biometric systems have three inter-related components: a sensor, a verification device, and a database of templates. A person registers with the system before using it. Registration involves a human characteristic being translated by the sensor into a digital configuration or bit pattern.

Identification or verification of the person as being 'secure' is done using the appropriate device and access to the database of templates to compare the presented pattern with that stored in the database. The result is either a match or a rejection of that person.

Access Control System integrates Fingerprint Identification system, a computerized solution that captures, compares, matches, identifies, verifies and stores digitized fingerprint images, with advanced one-to-many matching algorithm. The system is not only an access control system, but also a time attendance system, of which records can be integrated with the back-end payroll system.

We offer a complete range of fingerprint based solutions. Our solutions include:

  • Time And Attendance Solution - A large variety of fingerprint machines are supported by us to match different needs and different budgets. The machines are integrated with our in-house developed Attendance software- TAMS, which has option of being single user or multi-user and has MS-Access or MS-SQL or Oracle as its back end. TAMS has all features of leave, Overtime, Shifts etc. The output from TAMS can be customized to provide input to the payroll program.
  • Access Control - An added feature in the fingerprint machines is their use as access control system to limit entry to restricted areas
  • Simple identity verification - In a large number of applications like out patient tracking, student tracking, logging in, etc. simple finger print verification is required, which we provide.
